Description:

Lohja is a growing city a one-hour drive from Helsinki. The new residential neighbourhood of Hiidensalmi by the lake Lohja is an area with sawmill history and versatile natural conditions. The guideline of the project was to create an urban town district with a human scale. The topology of the site is emphasized in the design by placing the lower building volumes close to the shoreline and the taller on top of the hill.
